Matthew Vaughn's The Secret Service coming in 2014
He may declined to return for Kick-Ass 2 and X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but director Matthew Vaughn isn't finished with comic book movies, with distributor Twentieth Century Fox locking in a release date of November 14th 2014 for film adaption of The Secret Service, a comic co-created by Vaughn and Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar. Born out of conversations between Millar and Vaughn during the filming of Kick-Ass, it tells the story of a London hooligan recruited and trained by his James Bond-like uncle to become a spy. Filming is set to begin in August, with a script from Vaughn and Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, Stardust). Casting hasn't begun yet, but both Millar and Vuaghn are said to want Mark Hamill to appear as himself, as he does in the comic in a sub-plot which sees a villain kidnapping cast and crew of popular sci-fi franchises for nefarious ends.
