Michael Keaton Exits Spider-Man: Homecoming Talks

SHARE:

Hollywood giveth, and Hollywood taketh away. No sooner was Robert Downey Jr. announced to be suiting up as Iron Man in next year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit is now reporting that Michael Keaton, previously reported to be in talks the movie’s villain role, has exited negotiations before they were finalised, meaning he will not be appearing in the film after all. Not that Keaton really needs it, since he’s been on a roll since Birman, with his latest, The Founder, coming in just a few months. Nothing can stop his career resurgence it seems.

With shooting set to begin this Summer in Atlanta, Spider-Man: Homecoming will no doubt scramble to find itself a big bad to menace Tom Holland’s wall-crawler when the highly anticipated reboot hits our screens July 7th 2017.
