73rd Golden Globe Nominations Announced

SHARE:

The nominations for next year’s Golden Globes were announced today, and there was a good showing for the Irish with Michael Fassbender, Saorise Ronan, and Lenny Abrahamson’s Room all making the grade. Todd Hayme’s Carol leads the nominations with five, including Best Picture and Best Actress for both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, followed by The Revenant, The Big Short, and Steve Jobs. The big surprise is Mad Max: Fury Road bagging Best Picture and Best Director, for George Miller, nods. Not that is undeserved, just surprising. Hopefully this bodes well for the movie on the the road to Oscar glory. Check out the full nomination list below.
